BIODIESEL BUYING GUIDE

End users have various options of buying Biodiesel in INDIA.  

Many OMC owned C-O-C-O pumps are dispensing Biodiesel blended Diesel in various cities across India and there are many B100 manufacturers and dealers in the country. 

However, you should be aware about the credentials of the entity from which Biodiesel is purchased. Hence, we suggest that Biodiesel is purchased from BMAI registered manufacturer members only. This will ensure that high quality, unadulterated Biodiesel is provided everytime. 

Further, BMAI suggests that Biodiesel blends of 20 percent (B20) and below will work in any diesel engine without any need for modifications. 

These blends will operate in diesel engines just like petroleum diesel. B20 also provides similar horsepower, torque, and mileage as diesel.

There are a few precautions to take when making the switch to B20:

• Make sure you buy B20 from a a trusted BMAI registered manufacturer member only.
• Verify the source of Biodiesel by conducting various checks and quality control regularly
• Continue your regular maintenance schedule, unless your vehicle feels sluggish when accelerating.  This is a symptom of a plugged filter and should be checked immediately.
