OBJECTIVES & ROLES

1. To promote, grow and protect the industry, trade, commerce, manufacturers, traders, dealers and other activities of the Biodiesel and related ancillary industries in India

2. To encourage, promote and grow the use of Biodiesel with an aim to publicise, propagate and advocate their uses through various publicity media including organising seminars/ conventions

3. To represent and make known to its members information related to the Biodiesel industry as a whole before governmental and quasi-governmental authorities trade or industrial bodies, chambers of commerce, foreign trade and industrial interests, universities, schools, educational institutes and others

4. To assist members in enhancing their capacities, technologies, developing alternate feedstock and making them competent for world markets

The main purpose of the Association is to foster the development and growth of the Biodiesel industry in particular and overall development of Biodiesel industry in the country in order to increase Biodiesel  availability in the country, to make the country self reliant to meet the ever-growing energy demands of India

BMAI is formed with an objective to uplift its members. BMAI encourages use of its website as a data centre for the latest happenings in the Biodiesel Industry in India and also across the globe. It shall periodically collect data and publish on its website notifications, circulars, policies, acts, rules, regulations, reports etc. w.r.t. the Biodiesel industry. 

This information shall be made available to all its members and visitors to the website of BMAI. 

BMAI shall also conduct various online and in-person seminars, conferences, participate in exhibitions globally, publish articles, newsletters for the welfare of its members. 

BMAI believes in holistic development and hence also invites information and data from members and visitors to ensure growth of the industry. 

BMAI is an all India premier association formed for the growth of the Biodiesel Industry in India. 

BMAI and its office bearers shall take all steps to ensure the sustainability of the industry by making various representations conducive for the collective growth of its members to uplift the Nation. 

Association shall assist its members in the following aspects, including but not limited to:

• Membership and related activities
• Setting up of Biodiesel Unit
• Upgradation of Biodiesel Unit
• Testing and Quality Control
• Feedstock Development
• Representation to agencies etc. 
• Access to Expert Panel matters related to Biodiesel
• National, Regional and State level committees
