ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE & OFFICE BEARERS

Our organization structure is simple yet efficient. We have a team of industry representatives, technocrats, retired officials amongst others. The office bearers and entire team works closely to ensure that the goals for the growth of the industry are met.  Our Organization Structure is as under:


DIRECTOR GENERAL

MR. AJIT KUMAR SRIVASTAVA

Mr. Ajit Kumar Srivastava is the Director General of the Association. He is former Chief General Manager from Indian Oil Corporation. He was instrumental in formulating project execution strategies for IOC’s mega projects viz. Panipat Naphtha Cracker Project & Paradip Refinery Project.  He also has an experience in Managing E&P portfolio of 13 domestic & 12 overseas assets with total committed investment over Rs. 38,000 Crore. After having an illustrious carrier of 36 years in Indian Oil Corporation, Mr. Srivastava has been associated with development of a Bio-CNG plant in Uttar Pradesh and has a keen interest in India’s Biodiesel Industry.


PRESIDENT

DR. AKHILESH SARRAF

Dr. Akhilesh Sarraf is the President of the Association and has been instrumental in the growth of Biodiesel Industry in India for more than 10 years. Presently he is the Director of Ruchi Group of Industries. He has varied experience in Agro and Plantation industries and has varied experience in Biodiesel industry. He contributes to the Association largely for the growth of the Biodiesel industry in India and also maintains close liaison with various Government and Private agencies for the same


VICE PRESIDENT

MR. SHIVA VIG

Mr. Shiva Vig is the Vice President of the Association. He has vast business experience in being part of a family business which is a business over 50 years old. After completing his post graduation in in Global Business Management from Regents University in London, UK, Mr. Shiva Joined the family business in Dubai, UAE. With his vast knowledge of international business and with a mindset to grow, he set up two Second Generation Biodiesel plants in Haryana and Dubai. He also pioneered and set up amongst the largest UCO collection network in India spanning across 6 northern states. 



VICE PRESIDENT & TREASURER

MR. NEIL KARANI

Mr. Neil Karani is the Vice President and Treasurer of the Association appointed to ensure the optimal use of its finances. After completion of his Masters education from Aston Business School, Birmingham UK and also a programme on Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership from London School of Economics, UK, Mr. Neil now represents a diversified manufacturing Company situated in Mumbai that is engaged in the manufacturing of Biodiesel and Specialty Chemicals. He has an experience of 15+ years in the industry and is instrumental in developing a road map to ensure the sustainable growth of the Biodiesel Industry in India.


SECRETARY

MR. JULESH BANTIA

Mr. Julesh Bantia is the Secretary of the Association. He is the Founder & CEO of a Biodiesel Manufacturing Company in Bengaluru and instrumental in ensuring that the Association functions with utmost transparency and for the benefit of its members. Mr. Julesh's Biodiesel manufacturing unit is capable of handling Used Cooking Oil and other feedstock


ADVISOR 

MR. Y. B. RAMAKRISHNA

Mr. Y. B. Ramakrishna is an expert in Biofuels and has been instrumental in formulating policies on Biofuels in India. As Chairman of Working Group on Biofuels in Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas from Jan 2017 to Jan 2018, he has been instrumental in formulating the Biofuels Policies in India. Presently he is Member - Working Group on Biofuels in Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Member – Apex Committee on Methanol Economy in Niti Aayog and Chairman – Task Force on production of Methanol using Biomass/MSW/sources other than coal in Niti Aayog. His contribution to the growth of the 


ADVISOR 

MR. SUBODH KUMAR

Mr. Subodh Kumar is former Executive Director (Head of Alternate Energy & Sustainable Development Department) from Indian Oil Corporation Limited. He is having more than 12 years experience in Alternate Energy & Sustainable Development, Biofuels, Biogas, Plastic Neutrality & Waste Management.


BMAI ALSO HAS VARIOUS MEMBER COMMITTEES WHERE IT CONSTANTLY INVOLVES MEMBERS TO BE A PART TO GIVE SUITABLE SUGGESTIONS TO FOSTER THE GROWTH OF THE BIODIESEL INDUSTRY IN INDIA
